The Sunplug Process

Installing a Sunplug solar photovoltaic (PV) system with Lightsource and EDF Energy coulndn’t be easier - we take care of all the technical and legal requirements, so you can benefit from low-cost renewable energy as quickly as possible.

Step 1

DOCUMENTATION CHECKS

Sign and send us the Letter of Authority (LOA) included in your initial offer letter. The LOA allows us to talk to your mortgage company about the PPA and the Lease. You are under no obligation to proceed at this point.

Step 2

PROPERTY SURVEY

Our solar expert will visit your property to assess its suitability to the Sunplug system, followed by a technical survey from one of our experienced installers.

Step 3

FINAL OFFER & LEGAL PACK

Once we’ve checked and processed the information from the survey and documentation check, we’ll issue you with a final offer letter and pack of legal documents to be completed.

Step 4

INSTALLATION DATE

As soon as we’ve received all the relevant documents, we’ll contact you with a date for the installation of your system.

Step 5

WELCOME PACK & EMS PORTAL

When your system is installed, you will receive a comprehensive welcome pack, introducing you to Sunplug, as well as access to your Energy Managament System (EMS).

Step 6

ONGOING O&M

Throughout the 20-year agreement, Lightsource will perform all necessary operations and maintenance (O&M) on the PV system.
